In total to date, more than 600 research programmes have been funded, for an amount exceeding \u20ac50 million.<\/div>\n<div>Thanks to our sustained efforts for over 30 years, we are now on the eve of the first treatments.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All of ELA\u2019s actions converge towards fundraising to finance research (collections at events, the steps counted in Wear Your Trainers at Work, donation appeals, sponsorship booklets, corporate-giving appeals, product sales\u2026).<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-81 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ela-asso.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/recherche03-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e41871;\"><strong>\u2022 more than \u20ac50 million<\/strong><\/span> have been invested in medical research, corresponding to the funding of <span style=\"color: #e41871;\"><strong>600 programmes, <\/strong><\/span>making ELA the leading funder of research on leukodystrophies.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e41871;\"><strong>\u2022 \u20ac2.2 million<\/strong> <\/span>in a European biobank specific to leukodystrophies.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #e41871;\"><strong>\u2022 \u20ac800,000<\/strong><\/span> in a multicentre clinical trial (Barcelona, Paris, Berlin) on an adult-onset leukodystrophy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-93 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ela-asso.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/logo-ELA-international.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"76\" height=\"59\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elainternational.eu\/site\/fr\/leucodystrophie-information_maladie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more about research<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ELA is the leading funder of research on leukodystrophies.
