Norbert Becker, big winner of the Paperjam Top 100 – 2018

Norbert Becker, member of ELA’s Advisory Board, No. 1 in the Paperjam Top 100 2018
Active for 40 years, Norbert Becker worked internationally for a long time (notably at Arthur Andersen and EY) before returning to Luxembourg in 2004. On his return he founded the tax advisory firm Atoz and CBP Quilvest.

From politics to the business world, by way of his involvement in the academic and philanthropic spheres, Norbert Becker is highly listened to. His advice is sought well beyond the liberal camp he has long supported, having been a close collaborator of the late Prime Minister Gaston Thorn. Norbert Becker has also contributed to several successes that have had an impact on the country’s economy, such as Skype and Mangrove Capital Partners.

In an interview given to Paperjam, he says that “to exert influence, you need conviction about a subject. And that conviction must be based on in-depth knowledge of that subject. Without conviction, no influence.”
